Anchor Wire
High-Tensile Guy & Anchor Strand Wire
Overview
High-tensile aluminium anchor and guy wire for tower guying, mast anchoring and overhead line dead-end applications — lighter than galvanised steel with excellent long-term corrosion resistance

Properties
Manufacturing Process
Step 1
Rod Selection
High-strength alloy rods (AL59, 6201) selected for optimum tensile-to-weight ratio required by IEC 61089 / ASTM B398 standards.
Step 2
Wire Drawing
Rods drawn to the required strand wire diameter (2–5 mm) through progressive die passes maintaining close diameter tolerance.
Step 3
Heat Treatment
T81 artificial aging at 150–170 °C develops peak tensile strength (min 300 MPa) while retaining adequate elongation for stranding.
Step 4
Stranding
Individual wires are machine-stranded in helical layers (7-wire, 19-wire, or custom lay) to produce the finished anchor strand.
Step 5
Tension Testing
Finished strand subjected to proof-load testing to verify minimum breaking load; individual wire tensile, elongation and torsion checked.
Step 6
Coiling & Dispatch
Strand coiled to specified reel or coil size; full test certificates per IEC 61089 / BS EN 50182 issued with every consignment.
